Hi Sharks, my name is Carrie Ling! I have over 20 years of teaching in Manatee County. I have previously taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and Technology. I am the fourth-grade team leader and love being a part of an amazing group of teachers at Harvey! I have previously been named a top 4 finalist for Manatee County teacher of the year in 2018, teacher of the year at Harvey in 2019, teacher of the year at Braden River Elementary in 2018, named a Congressional teacher in 2018, Bay News 9 A+ teacher in 2021, a Florida high impact teacher, and rated as a highly effective teacher each year.

I have lived in Florida for almost my entire life and have attended Stewart Elementary, King Middle, and Manatee High schools. I went to Florida State University (Go Noles!!) and the University of South Florida. I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. focusing on Curriculum and Instruction from FSU!! Go Seminoles!! I am married to my high school sweetheart, George. He works for Sysco Corporation as a Learning and Development Manager. We have 3 children; LibbyAnn-Junior at FSU, Landen-Freshman at FSU, and Lawson-12th grade (and future Seminole!). We also have two fur babies. Gabbie Gellar Green and Mollie Wobbles, our two rescue puppies. I'm an identical twin and come from a family of 5 kids! I love reading and all things Math! I'm looking forward to meeting all my new kiddos and having a fantastic year together!
